The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is preparing to beseech the Supreme Court to halt the Electoral Commission’s declaration of the 2020 Presidential & Parliamentary elections on Tuesday December 8.

The EC announced earlier that considering the preparations it had made ahead of the elections, results for the General elections would be ready by 24 hours.

Now with the EC all set to announce the certified results and NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo set to be announced winner of the Presidential elections according to the EC’s tally, the NDC is heading to the apex court to ask for the results to be delayed.

The NDC earlier announced to it’s supporters that they had won the elections based as a result of some Parliamentary seats they claimed to have “flipped”.

Certified results from the Electoral Commission has however proven that these claims were inaccurate and had no bearing on the Presidential results.

With results from all 275 constituencies in, the EC appears poised to announce the certified results and declare Nana Akufo-Addo as President elect.
